Your Parents’ Association
Introducing the SLSA
The St Laurence School Association is the PTA of the School. It was established in the 1980s to run social events for parents and children at the school, to encourage the unification of Trinity Secondary Modern with Fitzmaurice Grammar schools. The SLSA encourages parental engagement in their child’s education, through joining in with social and other fundraising activities. From these roots, the SLSA has gone on to raise funds for school resources and infrastructure, via donations and events.

Who are the SLSA now?
The SLSA is run by a group of parents who take on organisational roles, supplemented by a larger team of volunteers at our events. We have an AGM in October and other meetings during the year as required. In June, we meet to allocate funds raised to school projects.
