At St Laurence School we are committed to maximising the achievement, progress and wider development of these pupils and narrowing the gap between their outcomes and those of their peers.

The Pupil Premium is a fund which comes directly into school from the government to help us to achieve this aim. Those students who are in receipt of Free School Meals, or who have had Free School Meals in the last 6 years, are eligible for support with this Premium, as are students who are currently in care.

Aims:

  • Provide additional educational support to improve the progress and to raise the standard of achievement for these pupils
  • Close the gap as rapidly as possible between the achievement of these pupils and their peers of corresponding ability.
  • Use the additional funding to address any underlying inequalities between children eligible for the Pupil Premium and those who are not.

Please see our Pupil Premium strategy and report documents below for further information.
