Y9 Subject Consultations Early Finish

Thursday 7th February is the subject consultation afternoon and evening for year 9. This is an extended session, beginning at 2.30pm and running through until 7.30pm.

Remember that school will finish at 1.20pm for all students in all years.

Please do have a look at the Guide which has been published on the website here:

The Guide is very comprehensive, including advice on how to plan and make appointments, a map showing where subject teachers will be located and details of the two 15 minute breaks for teachers in the various locations.

Whilst the ILC will close at 1.20 to enable the space to be prepared for the subject consultations meeting, we will be able to accommodate limited numbers of students who are meeting parents/carers at school before appointments start. This provision will be available until 4.15pm, which is when the staffing of our regular after school homework club ends.

If you are planning to make use of this provision, please provide a written note or email to the main school office by 3pm on Wednesday 6th February with the name of your child and the length of time that you would like them to stay on site.

Oxford University Offer Success

We are again very proud to continue our strong tradition of receiving offers from both Oxford and Cambridge Universities with four of our Year 13 students receiving a University place offer from Oxford University to further their studies in the Autumn.

The students are;

  1. Eve Caston – Music at St Peter’s College, Oxford
  2. Juliet Gupta – Psychology, open offer from Oxford University
  3. Will Seller – Psychology at New College, Oxford

Very many congratulations to all four students as well as to all of our Year 13 students who are currently receiving superb offers from Universities to further their learning post Year 13.
