The government’s announcement last night has meant that we now have many students off school today who are self-isolating as well as staff members.

We are working on a more detailed list of suggested work for those students who are self-isolating (but feel well enough to do school work) and aim to have that ready with 24 hours. In the meantime, may we suggest some of the following:

  • Maths – My Maths
  • English – reading a book is an excellent activity
  • Science – Kerboodle
  • Any educational documentary on TV, for example Blue Planet or National Geographic Channel or History Channel
  • GCSE students can go to BBC Bitesize

We ask that parents and students do not email teachers directly as they, as I am sure you can appreciate, are under great pressure today.

We thank you for your continued support during these challenging times.
